Pho Tasty

Pho Tasty (2101 Milvia St):

Broth: 7

Noodles: 3

Meat: 7

Total: 19

Special post from Berkeley because I attended the nearby showing of Colonialism is Terrible, But Pho is Delicious at the Aurora theater.

When I sat down at Pho Tasty, I noticed something strange about the bottle of sriracha on the table. There wasn’t a red rooster on it. Although I was skeptical at first, it was pretty much the same except for a little bit of extra sweetness. The broth was too heavy in spices and I could tell the broth wasn’t cooked for quite as long as it should have, it was missing a bit of that meaty flavor. The noodles were nice and chewy but came stuck together. The meat was very tender but not super flavorful. Most of the flavor the meat had came from the broth, which gave the meat a weird spice-y flavor. A combination of slight undercooking and mediocre ingredients led to a slightly less than average bowl of pho.
