Saigon BBQ Noodle

Saigon BBQ Noodle (1936 Irving St):

Broth: 8

Noodles: 3

Meat: 7

Bonus: +1

Total: 19

When I walked in, I immediately noticed how big the restaurant was. It was nearly full but still had enough space to seat more people. It was clean and bright and they had flat screen TV’s playing football. It is definitely not your typical pho restaurant. The menu had 6 pages plastered end to end with different Vietnamese dishes. Although it was not the best pho restaurant, it is great if not everybody in your party wants to eat pho.

When we were brought out the accompaniments, I saw that they used lemons instead of my personal preference, limes. For the pho, the broth had a rich meaty flavor with a dash of spices. However, it was so subtle that the spices were almost untraceable. The noodles were almost perfectly cooked but were a little bit chewy and came stuck together. The meat was fairly tender and kind of flavorful but not much of either one. Overall, this was a pretty good restaurant and although there are better ones, I would definitely come back here.
